How to Enable and Use Online AI in Mew Cut
What can the Online AI do?
Features like subtitle validation, sentence segmentation, and subtitle translation in Mew Cut all offer an option to use Online AI. You can choose Online AI to achieve better results.
Is Online AI enabled by default?
By default, Mew Cut’s Online AI is turned off. All your data is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded or shared to the cloud. Once you enable and use Online AI services, relevant data will be uploaded to the Online AI servers for processing. Please decide carefully whether to enable this feature based on your needs.
How do I enable Online AI?
- Go to Settings → AI, and turn on Online AI.
- In the form, choose an AI service provider and enter your API Key.
Which Online AI service providers are available?
Currently, OpenAI and DeepSeek are supported. You can switch providers on the Settings → AI page.
How do I obtain an API Key for Online AI?
At the bottom of the Settings → AI page, you’ll find a link to the official API Key management page for the provider you selected. Click it to go apply for a key.
How is the Online AI API Key billed?
Pricing for API Keys is determined by each service provider. Please refer to the respective official websites for details.
